Inside Line Promotions – CORLEY, Texas (May 24, 2015) – Tony Bruce Jr. is looking forward to a marquee tripleheader next weekend with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

The One 8 Motorsports team will compete on Friday at Salina Speedway in Salina, Kan., on Saturday at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., for the Hinchman Racewear Eagle Nationals and on Sunday at Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kan., for the inaugural ASCS National Tour event at the famed track.

“It’s going to be a busy weekend for sure, but I’m excited about it,” he said. “Two of them are tracks I grew up racing at when I started my racing career in Kansas.”

Bruce Jr. has improved his result at Salina Speedway each of the past three years with the ASCS National Tour. After placing 12th in 2012, he finished seventh in 2013 and sixth last year.

Bruce Jr. and his TBJ Promotions team will then invade Eagle Raceway, which will host the final event of the season for the promotional company.

“Eagle is one of my favorite tracks in the country,” he said. “With a professional facility such as Eagle Raceway, the promotional side of it usually runs smooth.”

The weekend will conclude on Sunday with Bruce Jr. returning to Belleville High Banks for the first time since 2009.

“That will be fun to take part in the first-ever ASCS National Tour event at Belleville,” he said. “The track has a lot of history so it’d be great to be the first ASCS winner there.”

Bruce Jr. is coming off a frustrating debut at Timberline Speedway last Friday with the ASCS Red River Region.

“In the heat race we didn’t get the start that we needed to get,” he said. “I still ended up running second, but as I was coming across the line for the checkered that’s when the engine let go. We’ve had really good luck with our Moss Racing Engines throughout the years. I’m sure it was just a part failure.”

The performance was enough to lock Bruce Jr. into the feature redraw, where he pulled the No. 1 to start the main event on the pole. However, the team elected not to push the issue and Bruce Jr. was unable take the green flag.

“With a big three-race weekend coming up we decided to cut our losses and cut the weekend short,” he said.
