Inside Line Promotions – OWASSO, Okla. (June 25, 2018) – Tony Bruce Jr. has a trio of ASCS Warrior Region races on tap this weekend in the Smith Family No. 86 sprint car.
Bruce Jr. will compete on Friday at Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo.; on Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo.; and on Sunday at Double X Speedway in California, Mo.
“I’m excited to get back racing,” he said. “I haven’t got to race a lot this year. Being able to get back in the car and compete, especially three nights in a row, is something I’m looking forward to.”
Bruce Jr. is eyeing his first triumph of the season.
“I definitely want to come out of this weekend with a win,” he said. “We’ve always been fast at pretty much every track on this weekend’s schedule. I’ve had some decent success, but just haven’t pulled off a win. It’d be nice to get a win or two this weekend.”
This weekend will mark the season debut at all three tracks for Bruce Jr. He posted a 14th-place finish during his lone start at Missouri State Fair Speedway last year. Bruce Jr. earned two podiums, four top fives and seven top 10s in seven races at Lake Ozark Speedway last season. He garnered results of third and fourth, respectively, during two starts at Double X Speedway in 2017.
“We all do this to go out and win races,” he said. “It’d be nice to get a win at one of these tracks I’ve been going to for countless years. Plus, it’d mean a lot for the great people who give me an opportunity to drive their race car.”
Bruce Jr. enters the weekend riding a streak of four straight top-10 finishes.
